WORK EXPERIENCE

March 2006 - Present Senior Research Fellow
A*STAR Institute for Infocomm Research
Singapore

Research in Image Processing,
Virual Reality, Augmented Reality,
Computer Vision, and Computational Cameras.
January 2006 - May 2006 Lecturer/Course Director
Department of Computer Science
University of Toronto

Conducted lectures, constructed student labs,
set course exams, and managed teaching assistants
for CSC258: Computer Organization, a second-year
computer science course.
July 2005 and April-June 2006 Course Instructor
da Vinci Engineering Enrichment Program
University of Toronto
Created and taught a university course for gifted
high-school students. Presented lectures and oversaw
course activities. The course was based on creating
embedded systems using an AVR microcontroller.
September - December 2004 Teaching Assistant
Department of Mathematics
University of Toronto
Gave one hour lectures on linear algebra, as well as
providing interactive question and answer sessions to
students in the Engineering Science program.
September 1999 - August 2006 Teaching Assistant
Electrical and Computer Engineering
University of Toronto
Provided support for professors teaching a variety of
courses such as Signal Processing, Intelligent Image
Processing and Operating Systems. In the case of one
course entitled Microprocessor Systems, this included
setting and correcting the final exam, developing the
majority of the labs, and overseeing the labs, and the
other teaching assistants.
September 1999 - September 2006 Research Assistant
Eyetap Personal Imaging Lab
University of Toronto
Conducted research in the Eyetap Personal Imaging Lab
centered on lightspace image processing. Much of the
research also dealt with the construction of embedded
systems for a variety of uses (for example, camera
controllers). Work from this lab has been widely published.
Articles in which major contributions were made by this
author are listed in the publications section.
September 1992 - April 1998 Freelance musician, music teacher and composer
Toured worldwide with several musical projects.
