CTRL+SHIFT L000 = VT,1
CTRL+SHIFT 0L00 = VT,2
CTRL+SHIFT 00L0 = VT,3
CTRL+SHIFT 000L = VT,4
CTRL+SHIFT M000 = VT,5
CTRL+SHIFT 0M00 = VT,6
CTRL+SHIFT 00M0 = VT,7

but preferably you might want to phonepad map like the numbers on a phone:
num l000 = "3"
num m000 = "2"
num r000 = "1"
num 0l00 = "6"
num 0m00 = "5"
num 0r00 = "4"
num 00l0 = "9"
num 00m0 = "8"
num 00r0 = "7"
num 000m = "0"
num 000l = "#"
num 000r = "*"

in which case the above really might be changed to:
ALT R000 = VT,1
ALT M000 = VT,2
ALT L000 = VT,3
ALT 0R00 = VT,4
ALT 0M00 = VT,5
ALT 0L00 = VT,6
ALT 00M0 = VT,8
ALT 00L0 = VT,9
(a little easier to press)

i usually also have my sig, as single keypress 7 and 3 together
(e.g. as in "time to say 73"), according to the second mapping above.

a single keypress for tnc out of kiss mode also helps, etc.
(lots of additional keystrokes can be defined)

other things can be usefullly mapped such as:
CTRL+ALT 0L00 = CTRLALTDEL,"/sbin/shutdown -h now"
in the twiddler, rather than /etc/inittab
or their respective other places.
(i prefer halt as it's usu. when battery power low)
