The simplest is IBM's Cordless Connection.  It has a 200ft range, uses a
base station you plug into your phone line and a small black box with a
phone cord you plug into any pcmcia modem (or equivalent).  It runs
at 900 MHz and has a street price around $180.  But you have to buy the
modem too.  Not sure what the battery life is like.
