speech recog on low CPU machines

Hi all,

I have been researching speech recognition/tts software
for lower CPU machines (e.g. 486SL-33, 20M RAM max)
and so far have come up with these leads:

*ears for Linux
*DragonDictate which requires 486-66
*Verbex Speech Commander.. which comes in three
flavors: two boards with varying vocabulary sizes
and one encased module that can work "stand-alone"
with built-in RF or connected to a terminal

Any comments or experience with any of these? I
know that the latter two understand continuous
speech.. a requirement for ease of use in real-time
performance support situations.

I need a solution for lower speed CPUs because
they cost less (less sticker shock for customers)
and are more readily available in commercial
wearables.

Any input on this subject would be greatly appreciated.

Patricia
