I lost the message that was in reply to mine, but I think the sender mentioned something about Internet phones sucking up bandwidth. True, but DSL has nothing to do with that. It keeps the voice and data signals separate -- the ISP only deals with the data, and the phone company deals with the voice; just like if you use the same line for a phone and modem at home. The difference is that DSL allows you to use both at once, whereas a traditional modem requires that you only use one at a time: voice _or_ modem. Also, you may not want to wear your computer 24/7, but I do. I'm a programmer and a technophile. I have a desire to be completely connected all the time; by phone, e-mail, beeper, and however else I can. Here is what I want in a wearable: 1. emacs -done 2. e-mail -done 3. integration of other communication technologies -not done Beyond that, I don't much care what's available. Things such as a remembrance agent are nice, but they are not my main concern. We each have our own requirements and mine involve connectivity. Yours may not. -- Gregory Martin Pfeil Software Engineer mailto:http://falcon.jmu.edu/~pfeilgm/ ICQ#: 235067
