Re: [Humor: New watch] [Don't do this!]

Lenny,

Thank you for your letter concerning my post to the wearable list about
the "New Watch". This was not a chain letter, even though I had CC'd it
to a few other people. Nowhere did it mention in the email that you
should send this joke to 2 (or more?) of your friends and if you didn't,
bad luck would come your way (or something to that nature).

You didn't have to send a reply to all my friends and family that I
happened to CC it to, who know nothing about the wearable list. Sending
it to me (the offender) would have sufficed.

Furthermore, if you are going to use an idiomatic expression ("head this

off at the past"), you ought to get it right. It is pass not past!

Nor do I "dump" jokes on to the wearable list. The point of the joke
was about batteries and that this do-everything watch needed to be
powered with a huge amount. The similarities of battery usage with that
of wearables has some parallel, I believe. I was just in on the group
purchase of the M1, and that is another device that needs to be powered
in addition to my wearable.

Since it is apparent that humor has no place in the serious discussions
of the wearable list, I am sorry for any inconvience or bother that this
has caused anyone on the list. I will not do it again.
