The same thing goes for the Linux driver.  My solution
was to disable the screen saver entirely (Control Panel->
Display->Screen Saver->None for Windows, a small hack to
/usr/src/linux/drivers/char/console.c for Linux).  Perhaps
the Twiddler II will handle this better, since it hooks to
the keypoard and mouse ports directly.
