P5 display news, Buyers group. From my research over the last week the P5 display is on hold PED is in the process of turning the project over to somebody but the exact details of this are not clear. The effect this will have on the Buyers List is unclear, so for the time being I suggest holding firm until there is some more news. The buyers list for the P5 now has 29 Yes members with 12 maybe buyers this gives us considerable buying power. PED has offered us $375 assembled if we had more than 20 buyers so we are looking good. We are waiting for drivers. Driver development has been going on at Lehigh, MIT, and PED but none of the projects seem to be coming along as fast as hoped. It seems that the PED hold as put a damper on the project. The wearables buyers group seems to have lost a lot of steam. I have been running this list for the P5 and there were/are cpu lists a battery list and a hard drive list but I have not seen head not tail of them (are you out there?). We need to keep moving on this it is not going to happen by itself. Those people running lists need to keep people informed about there progress (and existence). I still think a buyers group is the best way to get people into wearable computers and reasonable prices. If there are people that still want to work on this project we should exchange some email and set our course for the summer. I would like to get a committed team of 5 to 9 people together for the summer. We would set some goals in hopes of bringing the first rounds buying done by the end of the summer.
