We have gotten raw nimh cells from:
Battery Works, Inc
Morton Grove IL
800-707-7000
They are a distibutor so I don't know if they will sell to individuals or
not.

SANYO makes a 4000 mah 4/5A size cell  (roughly equivalent to a shotgun
shell).
If you call SANYO @ 770-279-7377 they can give you the name of other of
distributors.
They also make larger cells.

Pre-made flexible nicad packs can be bought from NRG research 800-753-0357
