Has anyone on this list had experience with the Advantech 4825 single
board computer? I'm particularly interested in knowing whether it will
boot and run any flavor of Linux. I followed Mark Willis' pointer to
Advantech last night and found this board:

According to the data sheet the 4825 has a 133 MHx 5x86 cpu, up to 32
Mbytes of RAM (1 72 pin SIMM), 2s+p, SVGA/LCD w C&T chipset (1024x768
256 color), SoundBlaster compatible sound, mouse & kybd connector, IDE &

FD interface, PC/104 connector. Power is 2A at 5V. Board is 3.5" drive
form factor. Price is under $400 w 32 M RAM.

That is exactly what we need to build a Worldboard computer except for a

GPS. Advantech has a PC/104 GPS module that uses the Rockwell chip set.

If you have had experience with the company, the 4825 SBC, or the 3290a
PC/104 GPS card, please send me a note.
Thanks
Larry
