RE: I-glasses VGA-NTSC conversion

Why hack the VIO tracker? Precision Navigation (
http://www.precisionnav.com/index3.html )makes a product that works just as
well and comes with integration instructions. It's cheap and it's pretty
accurate.

Subject:	I-glasses VGA-NTSC conversion

Has anyone played around with the VGA-NTSC converter box provided with the
i-glasses (the big black box with VGA & serial connection)? Specifically,
has anyone tried powering it from a 12 Volt line, rather than the 9 V
suggested? I'm borrowing it, so I really don't want to fry anything...

(I know it is generally better to use the smaller jack-block, but I want
to use the head tracker on the glasses and custom cabling on my end is not
easy.)
