Changes In publishing plans, Lists, Call for list information, Do we wish to set a deadline? ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Do to the fact that my daytime network connection is not able to get the Wear-Hard list. (it is not configured correctly and the Powers That Be have little interest in fixing it because of other changes coming soon. (I can still get mail just not list services) I am now getting my Wear-Hard mail through my home account and mailing it to my daytime account (to read at lunch). With this in mind and the lower level of activity on the GPLW project (more on this latter) I am going to move to a weekly report format with a few postings when I need to prod people on something. This in now way indicated a lack of interest in the GPLW project, I am still running the P5 list and will continue to try to summarize the activity in other lists in the Weekly Report and an my web page. There has been one person how has suggested forming a now list. Because we are not working strictly on a Lizzy Design and because the extra posts were distracting. I feel without the support of the exiting wearable computer community and the focused on a single source of information this project would have no chance at all. With the creation of a Usenet group (if this comes to pass) that might be a better channel for this project. ----- The P5 list is now at 26 people (that's 6 over our goal) we also have 11 maybe people. This could man as many as 37 orders for P5 units when the drivers come out. How are the drivers doing? (Could the teams please post a short update?) I will also be sending short messages to the P5 lists today please email me if you don't get one and wish you had :-) or if you get one and wish to drop off :-( For those how are interested this list of buyers will get P5s assembled for $375.00 each. If the other list managers could please report. It is important in maintaining the momentum of this project that there be regular updates. ----- I would also like to ask if we should set a deadline for the first round of buying. I would suggest some time after the P5s become available. This will help produce momentum and give people an incentive to make up there minds.
