WEll after much searching and messing around.... If you carve out the pcmcia track you cn fit a type II card in the slot and it will work.. I plugged in my cdrom into the modified slot and voila! I loaded redhat 4.1 via cdrom! Now to find a source of serial pcmcia cards... Is there anyone in the group that uses the M-1 as a display in day to day use? I am very interested in finding out as it seems after looking at all options out there the M1 seems to be the only real choice. What clarity do you get? how small of a text mode can you read? (40col? 50 col?)
