Jason, I'm rather new to Linux, *but* I have managed to get Linux (RedHat 4.1) and Windows 95 to reside safely on the same disk without any problems. I used Partition Magic to split my drive into the following segments: C: Drive |Windows 95 + free space|Linux Native|Linux Swap|Boot Loader| The Win 95 partition (with all the other shtuff I have on my drive) takes up about 1.2G . I reserved 400M for Linux, 100M for the Linux swap, and I'm using about 4M for the boot loader. BTW, before I actually installed Linux, I moved the remainder of the free space to the Win 95 partition, so I actually have about 2.8G reserved for the Win 95 partition. As far as boot loaders go, I'm using LILO.. it seems to do the job just fine, automatically loading Win 95 after 10 seconds or so. I havent been successful at using PM's boot loader. When I use PM's boot loader to start Linux, it complains that the Linux partition isnt formated (yikes!), hence the useage of LILO. Also, you may know this by now, but there is FIPS 15c. This will split a FAT32 drive, but only after a fresh install of Win95. If you use Defrag or scandisk to free your hard drive's free space, FIPS 15c wont work as efficiently as it should. I know this from *days* of toying around with FIPS 15c, hence the reason for purchasing Partition Magic. My advice: If you dont want to monkey around with your hard drive for fear of nuking your data, get PM and let it do the work. As far as boot loaders go, LILO seems pretty good and reliable. Good Luck!, -Mike :)+<
