Besides preventing phone-sex adds, moderation prevents flames, and allows
things like removing posts that contain nothing other than the words
"remove", for example. ;)

Yes, its a fair amount of work, but it means the group stays focused on
the topic and people don't have to sort through extraneous posts to get to
what they want. If the bot is set up well, it shouldn't mean much work at
all.
