I worked with the local sales rep, and finally got ahold of someone at Planar for a price and availability quote on these displays. It turns out that they are priced well out of most peoples range: A single developer kit is priced at 3500. This includes the display, and driving hardware to work directly off from a 15 pin VGA cable. For the display without driving hardware, prices in quantities were roughly estimated at: 100-500 units: $700 each 500-1000 units: $600 each 1000-5000 units: $500 each Also, these displays are NOT currently in high volume production mode. They are working on fixing a production line delamination problem, so only low unit counts are ready to be shipped, although they hope to have the problem fixed within the next quarter.
