Re: Twiddler standard

I would like to make a few suggestions:

On the rotational problem I would suggest makeing the twillder less round. I
have big hands and had to add 2 layers of mouse pad to the palm side of th
twiddler so my fingers would fall naturaly against the middle row of keys. I
don't have a problem with it twisting though.

I think the twiddler should be given a new standard layout that is more
eficent. The classic layout should be kept as an option. Since people need to
invest time to learn the twiddler they should learn the most efficent system
that can used.

I would like to see real keyboard input and mouseport input (but I know that
is being worked on).

PLEASE consider the wireless operation carefully before you implement. It
will mean that the twiddler will not be useable on aircraft. It could also be a
problem when Wearable computer users get together (stop typeing on my screen).
Finaly I don't want to be able to drop the twiddler I keep the cord short so it
will not reach the ground. It would be silly to have a wireless device with a
string on it to keep it from getting dropped.

Consider changing the way the manual depicts the layout for training. I
found it easer to use a look though picture that the mirror image one in the
book. This has two advantages one is that you do not have to think left and
right when you are learning and you are not as tempted to turn the twiddler
around to look at it. (When I say look through I mean with the A on the left as
if the twiddler were clear. NOT the A on the right as if you have turned the
twiddler around to look at it)

see may message above.

If this means plugging into the keyboard and mouse ports that would be realy
good. If it means PnP as in microsoft then us linux users could care less.

Soft could be nice but see my message above. I have had to add size softness
could make this harder.

I have hacked the linux driver for a track point like operation I have not
optomized the code (it still uses floating point math :-( but it works very will
on my 17'' screen. And when I change it over to fixed point math it should be
even quicker.
