the libretto runs for about an hour and a half on a "normal" battery charge, but toshiba batteries are lousy and when i used to work at compusa one out of six were returned as defective - that might be Ben's boss's problem. one nice critereon that a hacked laptop has over a pc/104 stack is that the power management technology has become very developed with many new notebooks. my dell runs for 6-8 hours on batteries that would power a pc/104 computer or intel SBC for maybe 4 hours. and in addition, i can plug my dell in and it will take a full charge in an hour and 15 minutes. something to think about for those of you pondering wearcomp5 vs. wearcomp6 in Dr. Mann terminology. scott (ixoye)
