Urbine

The ETRC has installed the Urbine : Canada's first rooftop mounted urban wind turbine. Situated prominently at 330 Dundas St. West, in the heart of downtown Toronto and across from the popular Art Gallery of Ontario (AGO), the Urbine is capable of producing 1500 watts of power at winds of 30mph. Consisting of a Lakota wind turbine, the Urbine also carries a passive wind tracking system to steer the blades perpendicular to the wind. The below pictures are of our urbine installation at 330 Dundas St.W.
