Text Files
The look and feel of the web site was conceived by Vigen Ngo, which were
adapted from the design by Rajesh Pankaj and Frank Kschischang.
The HTML files were generated from 'phtml' files which were written by
Vigen Ngo. The HTML files were adapted from those written by Donna Tsang,
Rajesh Pankaj and Frank Kschischang and debugged by Ragulan Sinnarajah.
Date of creation: Aug 1996.
Graphics
The graphics in the ECE web site were designed by Vigen Ngo, and approved by
Rajesh Pankaj and Frank Kschischang. The campus map was
scanned in from a faculty document, and coloured by Frank Kschischang. The
tree and acorn bullets were also scanned by Frank Kschischang, and were
modified by Vigen Ngo.
Date of creation: Aug 1996.
Programs
The graduate online application form was
designed by Rajesh Pankaj, and modified to fit the new page design by Vigen
Ngo. Programs to handle the forms were adapted by Rajesh Pankaj from the
original codes available from NCSA.
Date of creation: June-July 1995.
Updates
This web site underwent its first major overhaul in the summer of 1997.
The web site was re-configured for the Apache server system version 1.3 to
allow the addition of server-side includes. The majority of the HTML files
(now SHTML files) on the site were reconstructed to take advantage of
server-side includes. Building maps were scanned in from the Undergrad
Handbook, 1997-98 edition. Reconstruction and updating of the web site was
handled by Timothy Hong and Tien Luong, under the supervision of Paul
Chow.
Date of first overhaul: July-August 1997.
